The Orange County Workforce & Economic Development Division (WEDD) supports job seekers and employers with workforce solutions that strengthen our local economy. We connect job seekers to training programs, career guidance, and employment services that help build skills and advance careers. Employers can access recruitment support, customized training programs, and connections to a skilled local workforce.
These services are delivered through OC Workforce Solutions, also known as America’s Job Centers of California (AJCC), with centers located in Brea and Laguna Niguel.
WEDD also provides administrative support for the Orange County Workforce Development Board (OCWDB), which oversees workforce services in the region. Together, we help individuals gain skills, find employment, and increase self-sufficiency while supporting the workforce needs of local employers.
In addition, the OCWDB acts as the county's Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) committee. The committee develops a five-year plan to reduce unemployment, lower poverty, and promote sustainable growth across Orange County. This plan is developed under the guidance of the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) and serves as a planning tool for community and economic development projects, as well as a prerequisite for EDA funding for initiatives approved by the CEDS committee.
WEDD is committed to expanding access to opportunity, strengthening the workforce, and helping Orange County communities thrive.
